Do you struggle to switch off at the weekend?

Here are some things you can try for this weekend.


  1. Practice mindfulness: Focus on the present moment and let go of any thoughts or worries about the past or future. (I know, I know, but trust me it does  work)

  2. Exercise: Physical activity can help release tension and reduce stress. Take a walk, run, swim whatever you like to do, even if it’s only a short time.

  3. Get enough sleep: Make sure to get a good night's sleep each night to help you feel refreshed and rejuvenated. I know it can be difficult but plan a time to settle and put your phone away before you get to bed.

  4. Disconnect: Take a break from technology and social media to give your mind a chance to rest and recharge over the weekend.

  5. Relaxation techniques: Try techniques such as deep breathing, yoga, or meditation to help calm your mind and body. Anything that you feel relaxes you!

  6. Plan a fun activity or hobby: Plan something you enjoy, whether it be playing a sport, reading a book, watching a movie, or listening to music, to look forward to on the weekend.

  7. Plan your schedule for the next week. This way you can have a good idea of what you'll be doing and it may help you not to worry about work or other responsibilities if you have planned in advance.
